This past weekend was highlighted from both the Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams. The women won convincingly over highly-ranked Rutgers at home, while the men had a disappointing showing at Pittsburgh.
1. Tia Magee, Women’s Basketball – Magee led the way as the No. 20 Hoyas upset upset No. 11 Rutgers 54-36. The senior forward scored a game-high 21 points on 9 of 11 shooting and filled the stat sheet with five steals, two blocked shots, and three rebounds. The Blue and Gray took a nine-point lead into halftime, and Magee’s 15 second-half points helped ensure that they wouldn’t squander the lead.
